surroundings have heavily influenced the brand ethos and direction of Mother of Pearl.

Since taking over as Creative Director in 2011, Amy Powney has streamlined the Mother of Pearl aesthetic developing the sport-luxe DNA
of the brand. Mother of Pearl previously
collaborated with artists to combine art and print with modern relaxed design. Autumn / Winter 2015 brought a new era for Mother of Pearl as Creative Director Amy Powney broke away from this.

Building on the aesthetic set out by the brand’s founder, Powney created the first collection
entirely in their own vision.

Seasonally Powney now develops her own prints and continues to use pattern to juxtapose her design, solidifying the brand identity. Fusing their signature sportswear inspired aesthetic with luxury fabrics.

Mother of Pearl’s coveted pieces have gained a global cult following with brand fans including; Florence Welch, Elle Fanning, Lena Dunham, Mia Moretti, Emma Watson and Cara
Delevingne. Mother of Pearl held their first
London Fashion Week show in February this year after two seasons of presentations and were also shortlisted for the Vogue / BFC Designer
Fashion Fund.
