As part of an ongoing collection of special projects, Mother of Pearl teamed up with artist Polly Morgan to produce a limited range of t-shirts. Taking Mother of Pearl’s classic ‘Luna Tee’ in 100% silk the t-shirts incorporate imagery from two of Polly Morgan’s artworks, ‘Blue Fever’ and ‘Dead Ringer’. Long time supporter of Mother of Pearl, Polly Morgan is best known for her taxidermy still lives, using this traditional craft in unusual ways to raise questions about the setting and the animals themselves. A favourite of fellow artist Banksy, her work has been exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad. She is also a member of the UK Guild of Taxidermists. This collaboratioon was a huge success for the brand with a great deal of press coverage including Harper’s Bazaar, the Metro and Garage Magazine online.

Stocked exclusively at Harrods in London, Colette in Paris, Boon the Shop in Seoul and Restir in Tokyo, the t– shirts sold out across stockists internationally. Mother of Pearl have also previeously collaborated with the likes of Garage Magazine, SHOWstudio, Patrick Wolf, Sunday Girl, Oh Land, Other Criteria and Harrods for various one-off special projects.
